According to previous information, the vehicle adopts the NT2.5 platform. Compared to the current models using the NT2.0 platform, it features a horizontal center screen and a column-mounted gear shifter design, similar to the ET9. However, NIO has not officially responded regarding the NT2.5 platform. These two new models will be equipped with NIO s self-developed autonomous driving chip and are expected to launch between May and June this year.

From the recently revealed spy photos of the actual vehicles, the new NIO ES6 and NIO EC6 primarily feature adjustments in details to enhance the sense of novelty. Specifically, both models have undergone upgrades to the headlight design, adopting sharper lines compared to the current versions, paired with sleek daytime running lights for improved visual distinction. As facelifted models, the side profiles of both vehicles remain largely consistent with the current iterations, though they are expected to offer new wheel designs later to cater to personalized preferences. At the rear, subtle refinements have been made while maintaining the overall design of the existing models.

In terms of the interior, the most significant change in the new model is the adoption of a horizontal central control screen and a column-mounted gear selector, which further optimizes the storage space in the center console area. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with dual air-cooled wireless charging zones for smartphones and covered cup holder slots, among other features, to meet users daily driving needs.

For reference, the current NIO ES6 and NIO EC6 models both feature a dual-motor powertrain system, comprising a front AC asynchronous motor with a maximum power of 150 kW and a rear silicon carbide permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 210 kW. The total system power is 490 horsepower, with a peak torque of 700 N·m. In terms of range, the models offer 75 kWh, 100 kWh, and 150 kWh battery packs. The current NIO ES6 delivers CLTC ranges of 500 km, 625 km, and 930 km, while the NIO EC6 offers CLTC ranges of 505 km, 630 km, and 935 km.
