Exclusive Spy Shots of Ford Beyond s New Outdoor SUV: A Sneak Peek into the Rugged and Energy-efficient Design

[Autohome Domestic Spy Shots] Recently, we obtained a set of spy photos of Ford Beyond s new SUV from relevant sources. The reason we could confirm its identity is that we spotted the Ford Bronco badge on the steering wheel. According to previous plans, Ford Beyond intends to launch a new outdoor SUV and a new energy Bronco. Based on information such as its unibody structure, we speculate that this vehicle is the new outdoor SUV and will also adopt a new energy powertrain.

Upon closer inspection, the new car remains heavily camouflaged at this stage, though its appearance already seems close to production-ready. The front fascia adopts a completely new design language, featuring rectangular headlights and what appears to be a sealed-off grille at the center, complemented by a robust lower bumper that enhances its rugged off-road character. Notably, a LiDAR unit is visible atop the roof, hinting at promising autonomous driving capabilities worth anticipating.

Moving to the side, the new car adopts a boxy design that exudes a strong presence. Additionally, we can see it features hidden door handles and low-drag wheel designs. There are also interface designs on both rear fenders, strongly suggesting it is powered by new energy, though whether it’s a plug-in hybrid or an extended-range model remains to be officially confirmed. The rear is equipped with an externally mounted spare tire, paired with rectangular taillights, giving it a rugged and bold style.

For the interior, the new model also adopts a completely fresh design language. It features a centrally mounted floating touchscreen, beneath which are storage compartments for phones and cup holders, among other elements. It is anticipated that the central console area will largely lack physical buttons. The multifunction steering wheel sports a D-shaped design, topped with the Bronco emblem. However, given that the vehicle is still in the testing phase, the final production version may switch to the Ford logo. Additionally, the chassis reveals a hidden exhaust system and a unibody structure, strongly suggesting this is an urban-oriented outdoor SUV. More details about the new model will be closely followed and reported. (Text/Autohome Guo Chen)
