Recently, we have learned from official sources that the Genesis GV70 EREV is set to be released in December 2026. The new vehicle will be Genesis first range-extended electric model, positioned as a mid-size SUV.
It is reported that the new vehicle will be built on an improved version of the E-GMP platform, equipped with a small-displacement gasoline engine as a range extender, with a projected total range of up to 900 kilometers. Referencing the all-electric version, it features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a maximum power output of 490 horsepower.
It is reported that Genesis plans to become an all-electric brand by 2030. The Genesis GV70 EREV will be launched in North America, South Korea, and parts of Europe, where there is a growing electric vehicle infrastructure and consumer demand for low-emission vehicles. (Text/Autohome Yan Huan)
