Introducing the Mengshi M817: A Close Look at the Interior and Design Features in Collaboration with Huawei

[Auto Home New Car Debut] At the 2025 Greater Bay Area Auto Show, the interior of the Mengshi M817 made its debut. For reference, the Mengshi M817 was first unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April this year. Positioned as a rugged off-road vehicle, it is a model developed in collaboration with Huawei, featuring the jointly launched Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 intelligent driving assistance system. The new vehicle is the first to adopt the Tianyuan Architecture, a self-developed vehicle control platform based on Huawei s Qiankun vehicle control module, achieving hardware platformization, software service-oriented design, and seamless integration of edge and cloud computing.

Here s a brief recap of the new vehicle s exterior design: It adopts the Heroic Soul Aesthetics 2.0 design language, featuring a trapezoidal LED light strip and an illuminated Mengshi logo on the front. Combined with the Cease War for Peace 2.0 headlight clusters on both sides, it exudes a strong sense of technology. The lower front is equipped with a silver off-road style bumper, boasting a very large approach angle for excellent off-road capability.

From the side profile, the new vehicle features a high ground clearance and a roof rack, with a ladder mounted on the side for easy access to the roof for loading and unloading items. The opposite side is equipped with a flat storage compartment. The vehicle comes with both highway tires and all-terrain (AT) tires—the latter featuring deeper tread patterns for significantly improved grip on unpaved surfaces, though at the cost of increased tire noise and higher energy consumption.

From the rear view, the new car features cross-shaped taillights that point skyward, giving it a very avant-garde appearance. The rear is equipped with a small external storage box, though its size suggests it likely can t accommodate a spare tire. The box has a rather square shape and is presumably intended for storage purposes. The overall design of the rear bumper exudes an off-road vibe, complemented by a generous departure angle.

In terms of powertrain, the new car is expected to feature an extended-range system, likely combining a 1.5T engine with either three or four electric motors. Specific parameters have not yet been announced. We will continue to monitor for more updates on the new vehicle. (Text/Autohome Yue Changxing)
