Recently, Xiaomi Auto announced its May delivery figures, with the Xiaomi SU7 model delivering over 28,000 units, while the Xiaomi YU7 is expected to enter mass production in July. Additionally, Xiaomi Auto expanded its retail network by adding 29 new stores in May, bringing the total to 298 stores across 82 cities nationwide. In June, the company plans to open 37 more stores, extending coverage to 10 additional cities, including Baoji and Cangzhou. As of May 31, Xiaomi Auto has established 153 service centers, serving 88 cities across the country.

Here s a brief recap of the Xiaomi YU7, which was just unveiled at the Greater Bay Area Auto Show and is scheduled for official launch in July. The vehicle features a family-style design with a clamshell front hood, housing an oversized 141L electric frunk underneath that supports up to eight opening methods. With dimensions of 4999/1996/1608 (1600) mm in length/width/height and a wheelbase of 3000mm, the new model falls into the mid-to-large SUV category.

The interior emphasizes material craftsmanship, combining extensive use of leather, wood-grain trim, and suede. The Xiaomi Sky Screen panoramic display ensures clearer and more comprehensive information presentation. The cabin is equipped with the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform chip, enabling faster startup and upgrades. The HyperOS car system supports three interfaces displayed simultaneously and allows seamless transfer of mobile apps to the car screen, along with integration with Xiaomi s smart home ecosystem.

In terms of powertrain, the YU7 will offer both single-motor and dual-motor versions, with overall power output slightly higher than that of the SU7. Starting with the single-motor variant, it features rear-wheel drive, a maximum motor power of 235 kW, a top speed of 240 km/h, and is equipped with a BYD lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a CLTC pure-electric range of 835 km. The dual-motor version delivers combined motor power outputs of 365 kW and 508 kW for the front and rear motors respectively, with a top speed of 253 km/h, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.23 seconds, and is fitted with a CATL ternary lithium battery, providing CLTC pure-electric ranges of 770 km and 760 km.
